Berdyansk Gulf


   Berdyansk Gulf - Bay of the Azov Sea. Bay is located on the northern coast between the braids and Berdyans'ka Obytichna. The distance between the tips of the braid about 28 miles.

   Depths in the bay ranged from 5 to 8 meters. In the eastern Gulf of lifting the bottom to the shore of a uniform, and in the western part of the bottom is not flat, with plenty of cans, depths of less than 5 meters.

   In the eastern Gulf near the middle of the Berdyansk spit the island of Small Dzendzik. At the end of the spit juts into the Gulf peninsula Big Dzendzik. Small island and peninsula Dzendzik Big Dzendzik harbor from the west a small bay, suitable for parking of fishing vessels. From the east and south of the bay, these hide behind oblique.

   Bay freezes in winter, and during the winter can be cleaned several times and then freeze.

   On the coast are a number of settlements, including 2 cities - Primorsk (north-west) and Berdyansk (north-east and east).

   In Berdyansk Berdyansk port is built. Also on the coast there are several marinas.
